# Online Activation and First Configuration (version 7.0+)

Online activation is available starting from **Mago version 7.x**, released on July 29th 2025. From version 7.x onward, only online activation is supported and [Manual activation](https://kb.mago.io/mago-essential/setup-guide/activation-and-first-configuration/manual-activation-and-first-configuration-up-to-version-6.x) is no longer available.

Activate Mago Essential using an activation code entered via your phone or laptop for online configuration and activation. A signed-in user account on admin.mago.io is required. You can sign up or sign in using Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Apple ID, or a standard email and password.

1. Sign in to [**https://admin.mago.io/activate**](https://admin.mago.io/activate)
2. Input the **6-digits activation code** to displayed on Mago Essential
3. Follow the steps online to activate and configure Mago Essential
4. Save and apply
