# Hardware installation

## Guide for Mago Fanless IoT Mini PC - MRE Certified device (MH-CORE-IOT)

### Setup steps

1. **Unbox** your Mago Essential IoT device
2. **Connect** all the cables properly, based on your [deployment option](https://kb.mago.io/mago-essential/setup-guide/deployment-options)
3. **Connect** the device via Ethernet cable (or skip if you are using WiFi for the internet connection)

4. **Connect** a keyboard and mouse (required only for Mago Essential v6.x or earlier for [manual-activation-and-first-configuration-up-to-version-6.x](https://kb.mago.io/mago-essential/setup-guide/activation-and-first-configuration/manual-activation-and-first-configuration-up-to-version-6.x "mention"))
5. **Install** the device on the wall using the special brackets contained in the package, or place it behind the display or on the table
