# Mago Stage Client Apps

Use the Mago Stage applications to configure a device as a controller or receiver.

A **controller** is used to create and manage Stages, add content, connect to receivers, and control presentations.

A **receiver** displays content sent from a controller.

#### Get started

1. Review **Before you begin**.
2. Install the appropriate Mago Stage application.
3. Select the correct Mago Stage environment.
4. Sign in when required.
5. Activate the device when it will operate as a receiver.
6. Connect the controller to the intended receiver.
